Collaborations designed to influence the pace of change in the PF Community
CHICAGO, August 29, 2022 — To underscore its role as a change agent for all patients and families affected by interstitial lung diseases such as pulmonary fibrosis (PF), Three Lakes Foundation has joined industry sponsors in Boston on August 30 through September 1 in supporting the sixth annual IPF Summit. The summit brought together members of the PF Community to connect and discuss how to overcome the current challenges of advancing research and therapeutics for three million patients suffering with PF worldwide.
During the conference, Three Lakes Foundation hosted a special event entitled “Accelerating Innovation” to share the collaborations that focused on improving diagnosis and accelerating therapies. The event brought together pioneers from academia and industry to discuss the pace of innovation and address the problems of diagnosis delays and new therapies for PF/IPF.
“This gathering of healthcare leaders reinforces our joint commitment to come together, share challenges and contribute to solutions to help patients today, while we work on tomorrow’s transformative medicines,” said Dana Ball, executive director of Three Lakes Foundation. “We are proud to share these exciting projects. We are at the cusp of new discoveries in early diagnoses and therapeutic options.”
